Nohkalikai Falls, India
Nohkalikai Falls is a majestic waterfall located in the northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in India, with a height of 340 meters (1,120 feet). The name “Nohkalikai” means “Jump of Ka Likai” in the local Khasi language. According to legend, a woman named Ka Likai jumped from the top of the falls after being consumed with grief over the death of her daughter.
