The North Yungas Road in Bolivia, also known as the “Death Road,” is notorious for its extreme danger and high fatality rate. This narrow and winding road stretches for approximately 43 miles, connecting the cities of La Paz and Coroico. With sheer cliffs on one side and a steep drop on the other, the road has claimed numerous lives over the years.

The treacherous conditions of the North Yungas Road are primarily due to its lack of guardrails, frequent landslides, and dense fog. The road is only wide enough for one vehicle, which often leads to hair-raising encounters when drivers meet oncoming traffic. Despite its perilous reputation, the North Yungas Road has become a popular attraction for thrill-seeking adventurers.
